3. Name


I've applied for both of us, using my parents’ names. = Ich habe uns mit den Namen meiner Eltern angemeldet.


-> grammar is correct, but usual is: Ich habe uns unter den Namen (plural / unter dem Namen - singular) meiner Eltern angemeldet.






He writes the names on the paper. = Er schreibt die Namen aus das Papier.


-> auf ! -> Er schreibt auf ein Blatt (or: Stück) Papier. / or simply: Er schreibt die Namen auf Papier. (without article)






Natalie この 名前 の いみ は: an Weihnachten geboren / born at christmas - not only Geburtstag / birthday ;-)






4. der Mann


The workplace of the man is in Berlin. = Der Arbeitsplats des mannes ist in Berlin.


-> Der Arbeitsplatz (z !) des Mannes (capital M because its a noun) ...






The boss of the man has gone into politics. ＝Der Chef des Mannes ist in Politik eingetreten.


-> Der Chef des Mannes ist in die Politik eingetreten. (die - article cant be left here)






The boss has appointed the man for the job. = Der Chef hat zum(zu dem) Mann für den Job ernannt.


-> Der Chef hat den Mann für diesen Job bestimmt. (at this context it has to be specific "diesen / this")


-> Der Chef hat den Mann zum Projektleiter ernannt.


english term appoint have in german more than one meanings: "bestimmt/bestimmen" - for something, here: this job / "ernannt/ernennen" for a position e.g. project leader






The men go to the fields. = Die Männer gehen zu den Feldern.


-> grammar is correct, but usual is: Die Männer gehen auf die Felder. (aufs Feld gehen - is meant for work on a field)






Der Grundstückbesitzer... Grundstücksbesitzer (with a so called "Fugen-s" / "gap-s" between the two parts of the word)
